Overall results favour Rybakina in the last 12 months. Her hard court results were also better. She won 70% of her matches compared to 63% for Alexandrova.

Alexandrova has had some tough opponents this week and has dropped 1 set in 4 matches. Qiang Wang took that set from her. Garbine Muguruza, Shuai Peng and Katerina Siniakova were all beaten in straight sets.

Rybakina dropped sets to Elise Mertens and Saisai Zheng. She also beat in form Kristyna Pliskova in 2 sets.

We have some value on Rybakina and I think she takes at least a set. Lay Alexandrova around 1.45 to 1.50 and remove liability around 1.95. Lay the set 1 winner.

Stats for the week favour Alexandrova for everything except service holds and she probably wins.

ATP Cup – Australia v Spain

Nick Kyrgios 1.52, Roberto Bautista Agut 2.8

Kyrgios won their only previous meeting. That was in October 2015 in Tokyo. they met on a hard court and Kyrgios won in straight sets.

Both players won 64% of their matches last year. On hard courts Kyrgios leads 71% to 67% matches won.

Kyrgios has served extremely well in all his matches and has dropped just 1 set. In his first match Jan-Lennard Struff kept the sets tight but it was Stefanos Tsitsipas who gave the Aussie the stiffest test. Kyrgios came through in 3 tie break sets.

Bautista Agut has not dropped a set but has been a really short priced favourite in every match. Those matches have not prepared him to take on Kyrgios in his own back yard.

This won’t be easy for Kyrgios. Bautista Agut will make him earn every point. Back Kyrgios around 1.80 to 1.85.
